Personal History

1975 : Born in Tokyo.
1998 : Graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences of Hitotsubashi University.
Joined Hakuhodo Inc. Served as a marketing planner in charge of market research, product development, and marketing strategy proposals for corporate clients.
2003 : Placed in charge of brand strategy and design work for clients as a Hakuhodo Brand Design consultant.
2005 : Appointed to present post.
2006 : Affiliated with the International Development & Regional Planning Unit of the School of Engineering, University of Tokyo.
2007 : Involved in the establishment of hakuhodo+design.
2010 : Won the Good Design Frontier Design Award for “earthquake + design” project. Won the Kids Design Award for “Kodomo no Shiawase no Katachi” (Giving Shape to Children's Happiness).
2011 : Won the 2011 Good Design Award and Kids Design Judge's Special Award for Nihon no Boshi Techo wo Kaeyo (Let's change Japan's maternal and child health record book) and Dekimasu zekken (Dekimasu tag).
Completed the University of Tokyo, Graduate School of Engineering's Doctoral Program (earned PhD. in Engineering).
